According to the European Legislation, the only qualification that guarantees you a recognized Basic Training (Law 290/2012) for employment in a European Airline and not only, is the Cabin Crew Attestation. By obtaining this qualification, the requirements of EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) are covered. This qualification is particularly useful as it will give you an edge over other candidates during the recruitment process as it is now considered essential by most airlines.
AST is approved to offer Initial Cabin Crew Training, which gives you the opportunity to obtain a Cabin Crew Attestation from the Civil Aviation Authority upon successful completion of the training. The training programme is designed to familiarise candidates with the aviation industry environment and to provide them with the basic knowledge required to perform their duties related to passenger safety during flights. Also candidates with previous experience who are not in the profession and have expired their licence or have a pilot's licence from a country outside the European Union can, with this training, work in European airlines. The training includes both theoretical and practical courses.
Basic Requirements for attendance - recruitment:
- Correct Ratio & Weight
- Good vision & Good health (before the start of the training you will be given instructions to
- visit a specialist doctor to issue (after examination) the appropriate Health Certificate)
- High School Diploma or other educational institution (regardless of grade and direction)
- Knowledge of English (An English degree is not necessary)
- Swimming ability
